Before requesting a scope
- Combined acoustic and RF readiness checklist — organize missing criteria, access and completion items.
- Sound Group verification — align the approved level and field evidence.
- SAPF testing scope — distinguish project-specific SAPF authority, acoustic evidence and RF verification.
- RF shielding, TEMPEST and CTTA responsibilities — procure the right evidence.
- Field-testing logistics — plan travel, escorts and equipment entry.
While reviewing a test plan or result
- NIC versus STC — identify what the reported metric means.
- IEEE 299 method and edition review — resolve the applicable scope.
- Standards decision guide — connect project decisions with official ICD/ICS 705, IEEE, ASTM and DoD references.
- Methods and instrumentation — review the evidence behind measurement capability.
- RF construction hold points — distinguish intermediate evidence from final acceptance.
When a result needs further work
- Acoustic path investigation
- Acoustic repair and retest records
- Periodic retesting of existing SCIFs — door-seal aging, new penetrations and risk-based reassessment.
- RF investigation and measurement limitations
- RF repair and retest coverage
Does every SCIF need the same RF shielding?
No universal attenuation limit is assigned here. Confirm the approved project requirement and technical authority direction.
Does a passing test grant accreditation?
No. A test report provides scoped technical evidence. Acceptance and accreditation decisions belong to the responsible authorities.
Can I send a floor plan through the inquiry form?
Use unclassified general information only. Do not submit classified, controlled, export-controlled or otherwise sensitive specifications or floor plans. Arrange an approved channel with the project team first.
What if a measurement cannot establish a result?
The limitation should be reported plainly. An inconclusive observation is not silently treated as a passing result; the project team must agree how to obtain the missing evidence.
